Candle Light Vigil and Fund Raiser
for Victims of the Earthquake and Tsunami
that hit countries around the Indian Ocean
As many of you may already be aware, one of the
largest earthquakes recorded in history struck the middle of the
Indian Ocean and the resulting Tsunami killed over an estimated
155,000 people and left millions homeless in ten countries.
Among the most affected were Sri Lanka, India and Indonesia.
Over ten thousand are affected in India while hundreds of
children were buried in mass graves. Morgues and hospitals are
struggling to cope with the catastrophe.
India Association of
North Texas
along with the DFW Community held a Candle Light Vigil at our
office in remembrance of the victims of this natural disaster on
Tuesday December 28th, 2004 at the
India Association of
North Texas
offices.
